what is acoustic wall panel

Wooden slat panel is made of MDF Panel + 100% polyester fiber panel. It can quickly transform any modern space, enhancing the visual and auditory aspects of the environment. The Acupanel wood panels are made from veneered lamellas on a bottom of a specially developed acoustic felt created from recycled material. The handcrafted panels are not only designed to fit in with the latest trends but are also easy to install on your wall or ceiling. They help to create an environment that is not only quiet but beautifully contemporary, soothing and relaxing

Working Principle

  • Sound Absorption: When sound waves hit the acoustic wall panel, the air in the pores of the material starts to vibrate. This vibration causes the conversion of sound energy into heat energy through friction and viscous resistance, thereby reducing the intensity of the sound. Different materials and panel structures have different absorption coefficients for different frequencies of sound, allowing for targeted sound – absorption in specific frequency ranges.
  • Sound Diffusion: In some cases, acoustic panels are designed to diffuse sound rather than just absorb it. This is achieved through the use of irregularly shaped surfaces or special diffuser elements on the panel. Sound waves are scattered in different directions, which helps to reduce echoes and create a more uniform sound field in the room.

Applications

  • Commercial Spaces: Such as offices, conference rooms, and restaurants. In offices, acoustic wall panels can reduce noise from conversations and equipment, improving the working environment and enhancing productivity. In restaurants, they help to reduce the overall noise level, creating a more pleasant dining atmosphere for customers.
  • Residential Buildings: Used in living rooms, bedrooms, and home theaters. In living rooms, they can improve the sound quality of music and TV, while in bedrooms, they help to block out external noise and create a quieter sleeping environment. In home theaters, acoustic panels are essential for creating a high – quality audio – visual experience by controlling sound reflections.

  • Public Facilities: Including schools, hospitals, and auditoriums. In schools, they are used in classrooms to improve speech intelligibility and reduce noise interference. In hospitals, acoustic panels help to create a quiet and peaceful environment for patients’ recovery. In auditoriums, they are crucial for optimizing the sound distribution and ensuring good acoustics for performances and lectures.
  • Industrial Environments: Factories and workshops often use acoustic wall panels to reduce noise pollution and protect the hearing of workers. By installing these panels on the walls and ceilings of industrial buildings, the overall noise level can be effectively reduced, improving the working conditions.
